This stunning and rare antique Victorian hallmarked "James Deakin & William Deakin" sterling silver 4-slice toast holder measures 11cm long x 7cm wide x 13cm high and weighs a decent 124.83g. The hallmarks on the toast holder consist of the "J.D over W.D" makers mark confirming it is an original James & William Deakin piece, the lion Passant confirming it is British sterling silver (925), the crown Assay mark confirming the toast holder was made in Sheffield and the Gothic date letter "k" confirming it was made in 1902. The toast holder is in great condition for its age and there is minimal/ normal age and usage related wear and tear associated with a 115 year old piece (please see pics). The one foot has been replaced with a copper? foot.
